Most memorable performance with the ESO

Beethoven 9th Symphony opening our 50th anniversary season.

Favorite ESO soloist

Richard Roberts (concertmaster of the Montreal Symphony) gave a beautiful performance of the Brahms Violin Concerto, then played the rest of the concert in the back of the second violin section.

Why I like playing with the ESO

We have the enthusiasm of amateurs, with high musical standards as well, and we’re providing great accessible music to our community. We’re a wonderful example of why amateur music making is important. Also, it’s like family.

Favorite composer or piece

Bach solo partitas and sonatas, either piano or violin.
