Why I like playing with the ESO
As an Evanston resident I feel very fortunate to be a part of an orchestra in my own community. The ESO challenges me as a player and I can always count on performing something I have never played before. I love the annual Christmas Concerts as they always put me in the holiday spirit, and I feel it’s a great way to reach out to the community and collaborate with other arts organizations. Plus the kids get such a kick out of it!
Favorite composer or piece
Can’t say I have a favorite…
When I’m not playing with the ESO, I’m…
I work full time at Northern Trust company. I also spend a lot of time at the Dank Haus (German American Cultural Center) where I am a volunteer and former board president. In the fall you can find me in the pit orchestra with the Evanston Savoyaires. I also enjoy outdoor activities, so you may see me biking around town with my husband of 14 years.
Something most people don’t know about me
My first instrument was the accordion.
