Most memorable performance with the ESO

Beethoven’s 9th symphony and our first Evanston Symphony Christmas.

Favorite ESO soloist

Benny Kim, who played the Sibelius violin concerto with us in May 1988. I was general manager at the time and had him over to dinner. My son and friends were playing soccer in front; Benny tossed his loaned Stradivarius violin on the ground to join them. Later that night he let me play it.

Why I like playing with the ESO

I like playing with the ESO because we perform beautiful music and it is a wonderful group of people.
