Most memorable performance with the ESO

All of the performances in the future! But I do remember playing the first movement of the Sibelius violin concerto with the orchestra in 1998. That was thrilling and memorable!

Why I like playing with the ESO

They are a sensitive group of musicians with a great conductor, who truly enjoy making music together.

Favorite composer or piece

Anything Brahms. In addition to listening to orchestral music, I love listening to piano music, Schubert, Schumann and Bach especially. When I listen to Glenn Gould, my emotions are freed and I cry. Not only do I feel like I’m in the room with him, but I feel like the composer is there too.

I started playing the violin when I was 2, and have been teaching since I was 10. My first student is now a professional musician.
