Violinist Irina Muresanu Highlights Third Concert in Evanston Symphony Orchestra’s Great Composers Season

Evanston, Ill.—The third concert of the Evanston Symphony Orchestra’s 74th season—themed Great Composers—will feature the fifth ESO appearance of internationally acclaimed violinist Irina Muresanu, associate professor at the University of Maryland. She will perform the Second Violin Concerto by Serge Prokofiev in a program performed at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall in Evanston conducted by Music Director Lawrence Eckerling on Sunday March 15, 2019 at 2:30 PM.

The remainder of this Russian/Armenian concert will feature Four Dances, including the famous “Sabre Dance”, from the Gayane ballet of Aram Khachaturian and the spectacular Fourth Symphony of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
