Most memorable performance with the ESO

The “Made In America” concert with the fiddle pieces played by Mark O’Connor. The audience LOVED him. The orchestra received a standing ovation and there were happy faces everywhere!!

Favorite ESO soloist

Mathieu Dufour, flutist and Lawrence Eckerling, pianist

Why I like playing with the ESO

Good quality group, conductor and choice of repertoire. The people are very nice and it is easy to get along with everyone.

Favorite composers or pieces

Classical: Rapsodie Espagnole by Maurice Ravel, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff and anything by Igor Stravinsky or Bela Bartók. Opera: Turandot and Doctor Atomic. Rock: Led Zeppelin, the Doors, the B-52s and Parov Stelar.

When I’m not playing with the ESO, I’m…

I recently earned my M.B.A. in Strategic Global Marketing from DePaul University. I manage the marketing and proposals for an engineering firm in downtown Chicago. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and sewing.

Something most people don’t know about me

I am a purple belt in Shotokan karate and love attending and volunteering at international karate competitions.
